When I find myself inclined to tussle,
Bloody Mary comforts me,
Evens disposition. . .lethargy.
And in my hours of sparkness,
I travel down to the pharmacy,
Seeking a prescription. . .lethargy.

Listless my world becomes. . .

And when I’ve woken, started
Seeking vigorous activity,
Brandy is the answer. . .
Lethargy.
And sometimes from my pharmacopeia
I grab a tab to be
A napping enhancer. . .
Lethargy.

Listless, shiftless, benumbed. . .
Lethargy.
Lethargy. . . .
Listless, fitness begone. . .
Lethargy.

And when my mind is cloudy,
It’s from pills I’ve tried obligingly,
Tried until I’ve somno-lethargy.
I wake up to the sound of snooze-nix,
A scary cacophony:
Beeping scourge of lift-from-bed for me.
Let me be! Let me seek, let me reap lethargy.
Drift into pure shiftless lethargy.
Let me be! Lethargy, entropy send to me,
Drifting into lift-none lethargy.
