That Cecil dude’s last name was Rhodes,
An eponym was Cecil Rhodes.
He roamed that region on its roads,
No friend of South Africa’s Roods.*
Now the name is Zimbabwe
For the country once named for Rhodes.
Today Mr. Mugabe goads
The world as he grabs loads and loads
Of dough, surrounded by his toads,
Won’t be long before it implodes.
Everyone is watching him
As this land’s inflation explodes.
Mugabe’s dictatorship bodes
Ill for those in that land’s abodes.
Though not perfect was Cecil Rhodes
At least he followed certain codes.
Now it is pure tyranny
(Now it’s a kleptocracy)
Under Mugabe and his toads.
