Parody Song Title:

"Welcome, Dubai!"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Specifically: two of the 9-11 highjackers used the United Arab Emirates (of which Dubai is part) as a base. Further, Al Qaida laundered money through the UAE banking system. Fellah (Arabic): peasant. Side note: "y" in Spanish is "i griega," or "Greek i." In French, "i grecque"--same thing. In English, i and y are sometimes interchangeable--e.g., "dry," "drier" (or "dryer"), "driest" (or "dryest"). Given that sometime substitution, is "Dubai" an anagram of "Dubya"?
Dick says "yes," Frist says "no";
After the fact did Bush know, know, know.
Uh oh!
Now to Dubai, we have said "hello."
Hello, fellows, to our ports, welcome,
Guys from Dubai, swell fellows.
In hell, fellahs: two 9-11 guys
From Dubai smell sulfur.

One asks, "Why'd Bush not know?"
'Cause the guy isn't running the show.
Uh oh!
So now the guy implies, swell fellows.
Hi, swell, fellows, to our ports, welcome,
Guys from Dubai, swell fellows.
Hell-hound fellahs--two 9-11 guys
From Dubai, yellow curs.

Why, why, why, why, why
Do we let Dubai
Guys contracts buy, buy, buy?

Uh oh!

So now our guy says they're swell fellows,
Such swell fellows. To our ports, welcome,
Guys from Dubai, swell fellows.
(Fellatio fellow--that likes-tikes guy's
In Dubai, swell fellow.*)

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
Hello?!!
Why are these fellows
Running the ship show?

*Child terrorist Michael Jackson is living in Dubai. Jon Stewart quipped that Dubai took him off our hands in exchange for the ports contracts.

Maybe I'm watching too much "West Wing" but it seems like there's something we're not supposed to know about that's behind Bush's inexplicable insistance in allowing this to happen. Or, maybe W really is just a few gallons short of a barrel. Anyway nice job! 5s.

I found the MJ lines more humorous than the W lines; but this transaction cries out to be parodied, and this is a very well done parody.
