Parody Song Title:

"She's My Wife"

Parody Written by:

Rick Duncan

The Lyrics

There are players who sing better
And my wife has made a change
Should have worn that scarlet letter
Something's gone she can't explain

Now she's living in the moment
Our "love to the end" has ended with gall
Now it's dead but still I'm living
She's my wife, behind that wall

Now as all our friends discovered
There is no lie that wasn't told
And the hist'ry has no meaning
When that muskrat love was out and bold

Though I know that I'll never be forgiven
For all of the dreams I couldn't fulfill
And though I'll go and shop for a replacement
She's my wife, I love her still

Highlander, I haven't expressed my sympathies on your messageboard posting --- I guess I was waiting until the time felt right. Since you're one of my long-time friends here on AmiRight, and since you're the undisputed Beatles Parody Master around here (at least in MY book), and since you and I first became acquainted here, in parody comments, this is the right place and the right time for me to say that I sincerely hope you find healing and comfort soon, my friend. You're a good man and a supremely talented writer. You deserve happiness.

Peace,
Johnny D

Thanks Johnny. I know you were with me here. One of these days I may just make a trip to your neck of the woods. I'm actually okay, but I do what I always do, is use my emotional flux to drive creativity. I bought a cello, and have been sawing away at that thing. (Make your own joke here about putting something shapely between my legs)

Rick, here's a parody concept for you...I'd love to see you write a cello-related parody that employs the name "Yo Yo Ma" in the title and/or lyrics.

Oh Rick... Good job job with a great song and hard subject matter, I hope things are going along okay for you. PT
