Parody Song Title:

"Shrink Takes Your Wealth"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

He mulls your words as you
Explain to him your thoughts about poo.
You're telling him big lies
And as you ramble on, he nods off
And closes his eyes.

Dude's really charging you,
So you blow a lot of dough.
Shrink takes your wealth,
Yet he isn't helping you.

He sits there, far behind
The ruby-colored couch on which you recline.
He stops catching some Zs
And says, "Your time is up,
Another 200 bucks, please."

Dude's really charging you,
So you blow a lot of dough.
Shrink takes your wealth,
Yet he isn't helping you.

He claims your mind's opaque
'Cause as kid you got no birthday cake.
You thought it was just food,
But he says that it wrecked your mind,
Put you in a bad mood.

Dude's really charging you,
So you blow a lot of dough.
Shrink takes your wealth,
Yet he isn't helping you.

On further analysis, I find this psychodrama to be a healthy outlet for you. Keep those Beatles parodies comin'!

Thanks, Alvin Mason, Kristof. The challenge, yes. Many, many songs to do.

He's not only doing it, he's excelling at it. I have a special admiration for Johns' gift, because I went through all these and with only a few exceptions, did not come up with the angles and close rhymes John has found. An idea just crossed my mind that I should write "Barry, Show Me Mercy". But he'd probably grab the same song and do it better.

Rick, you are too kind. Many thanks for the compliment.

DKTOS but the poetry is well-written, and the situation is one I recognize from first hand. 5-5-5.
