LIDDON ROAD

In Liddon Road there lives my family at number eight,
In Lockdown doing different things throughout the day.
And both the boys were still here in May,
They were here to stay!

In the office we had Kathryn working all the hours,
She worked each day from early morning until five.
And she tried to keep herself alive
With her cups of tea, can't you see.

Liddon Road is where we’ve lived for many years,
Doing what we can with our careers
To date, and meanwhile back
In Liddon Road we had young Marc come home from Loughborough,
Was doing well with sitting finals there on line.
And although each paper took some time
He was doing fine.

The older son who worked in London came to work from home,
Chris thought the village would be better than in town.
It was nice to have him around,
Although very strange.

And in the house we had the father writing parodies,
I was the only one not working, my name’s Glynn,
And when I’m thirsty I just loves my gin,
With an ice and slice, very nice!
