Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"My Boyfriend’s Back"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

SPOKEN:
He bent this way, way down to the ground;
He’s bothered now by a plight,
And I think he threw out something, too.
He said things that weren’t very nice

My boyfriend’s back’s wracked and he’s going over doubled:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s back.
I believe that number L5 disc has ruptured, bubbled:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s rap.
Down below L5, S1 harm’s rocked ’em too:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s sacked.
He’s lookin’ now for a strong narcotic brew:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s wracked.

Hey, on bed now he is lyin’
And he’s cryin’ that he’s dyin’.

He’s been prone for such a long time:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s back.
Because his back is spine-misaligned:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s rap.

He’s now feelin’ sorry he was ever born:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s back.
He went to a quack; that was awful wrong:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s cracked.

He’s now feelin’ sorry, and a lot he’s sworn:
“#@%^*&!!!#@%^*&!!!!!!” My boyfriend’s rap.
He begs a real doc for drugs awful strong:
“#@%^*&!!!” My boyfriend’s slack.

Hey, some opioids he’s eatin’
And his bleatings become fleetin’.

Now he can’t think and has constricted eyes—
A snooze, a snooze.
An addict man now, oxycontin is his prize—
And booze. . .
Wasted, he.

My boyfriend’s back has caused a grave new situation:
Oh no, oh no! my boyfriend’s tack.
Too much he’ll use, he’ll go on permanent vacation
U-oh! Uh-oh! my boyfriend’s tack:

Vein, now the needles comin’
And he starts the plunger pumpin’.

[intralude]

Glazed eyes he.

My boyfriend’s slack; he has too much medication:
---------------------
My boyfriend’s tracks.
Too much he used, he’s now on permanent vacation
---------------------
My boyfriend’s slack.

Hey, now, hey, now, my boyfriend’s slack,
He’s real numb. . . .

Excellent Parody John 555! But you misspelled the original title by The Angels, you put "By Boyfriends Back" it should be ""My Boyfriends Back" like yours is, but in a different way... ;-)

How do you pronounce "#@&*(>

Just tried to comment and the computer ate part of it. I have heard stories of people getting prescriptions for oxycontin and selling the pills for a handsome profit. The margin is even better when Medicaid picks up the tab for the tabs.

"I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." HST (r.i.p). Nice one, JohnB.

JIN, thanks, but you need the apostrophe for the title to make sense.
Patrick, so I have heard also.
OMR, thanks for getting back to me.
VW: Thanks for not Sitka-this one out.
