Parody Song Title:

"Romney Is The Candidate"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Rick Santorum's "suspension" of his primary campaign all but assures the Republican nominee at the August convention. TOS contains lyrics to three songs, so I show each original title in brackets below. My third song revives the spectre of voter intimidation by either authorities or militants.
[Barry Is The Baby's Name]

This Fall it's Romney, Romney
That'll be one candidate.
'Twill not be Rick or Newt;
'Though both plied suit,
'Twas not their fate.
Instead it's Romney; Romney
Latched Ann, dame with guile and grace.
Stands tough, he's not a she;
He still could be
Spiked by Barack's race. [1]

[Horowitz]

R-O-MNEYM-ITT spells Romney, Mitt.
Four years back, it looked like he was ready,
But botched the fray to John McCain the Steady.
Dub-ya-ILLAR-D has not drunk beer; [2]
But he flayed Santorum good,
Like a real B.H.O. flayer should.
Romney, blitz this year!

[Get On The Garden Freeway]

Get on the G.O.P. sleigh, [3]
When you drum up new viz I.D.
You'll see a great big New Black Panther
With a brand new Barack Tee. [4]
Feint left and he'll let us go.
Continue 'til he's out of sight;
Then turn around and guard my back,
So that he won't see votes too right!
[1] The double-entendre is deliberate.
[2] A Mormon would not hold "beer summits" like the incumbent has.
[3] Register Republican and bring proper identification to the polling place.
[4] -shirt; refers to a November 4, 2008 incident in Philadelphia.

Thanks, Randy and anonymous voter. The tunes here are "Mary, Mary", "Harrigan" and "Give My Regards to Broadway". For the street name in TOS, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadeusz_Ko%C5%9Bciuszko.
