The Lyrics

Part of my Pop Danthology 2011 self-challenge. A promising young singer knows he is destined for greatness, if not for one small caveat...
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh

I swear I'm not one to blow my own horn (horn)
But I've got a great singin' voice for su-ure (sure)
And though studio sessions have been booked (booked)
It seems that my career has snagged a hoo-ook (hook)
Cause my timetable's stuffed, my timetable's stuffed
With my-y part-time job now, whoa-oh-oh
Don't want to be stuck, don't want to be stuck
Someone please get me out

I sing in a choir, cho-oir
Cho-oir, least for no-ow
Stuck in this damn choir, cho-oir
Cho-oir, get me ou-out

Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh

Exposure-payin' boss won't let me quit (quit)
I'm pretty sure that's cause he is a di-ick (dick)
And all he makes us sing is hymns, so dull (dull)
I give my all, still bored out of my sku-ull (skull)
Cause I want to rise up, I want to rise up
Top the-e Billboard charts now, whoa-oh-oh
But it seems I'm stuck, it seems that I'm stuck
In this stupid-ass gown

I'm stuck in a choir, cho-oir
Cho-oir, least for no-ow
I don't like this choir, cho-oir
Cho-oir, get me ou-out

Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh

I wish I'd never rea-ead that fly-y-yer
"Join our group and you will go hi-i-igh!"

That thing was a liar, li-iar
Li-iar, know that no-ow
I'm not goin' higher, hi-igher
Hi-igher, get me ou-out
I'm stuck in this choir, cho-oir
Cho-oir, least for no-ow
I hate this damn choir, cho-oir
Cho-oir, get me ou-out

Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh

It turns out the version of this song in my playlist that I used for the basis of this parody is not the single version...either of them. The European version had Kylie Minogue singing half the lines, whereas the American version had Travie McCoy doing a guest rap. A quick check revealed that Australia got the European version (which makes sense as Kylie is Australian) but a listen also revealed the pacing would remain exactly the same, so I decided to stick with the single "Taio Cruz" credit.
