The Lyrics

Now...
I had rolled my big rig up, to a roadside cafe
And the waitress there, quickly caught my fancy

As she sat me down, to a back table for one
She was a welcome sight, after a four day run

She had her curly hair up - It was shiny and black
It was done in a bun - bobby pinned in the back

But it all seemed to come down, when her boyfriend showed
He didn’t understand, just how intense she glowed

So I asked for a doggie bag
And got it to go
When I glanced at her name tag
She looked beautiful

Abigail, oh, Abigail
Your whole being transfigured like an A-angel
Working in a coffee shop
Helping out your mom and pop
Did we have the right stuff?
Did we have a chemistry?
I guess I better head back down the road to compatibility

So...
I took my tractor trailer, down a lonely road
Kept checking my mirrors, if I was followed

When BAMM! my windshield smashed, with some kind of bird that I’d struck
I went into the ditch - jack-knifing my new truck

What were people gonna say, the situation stunk
I mentioned wild turkey - The Cops thought I was drunk

But things only would get worse, when the tow driver would show
It was none other than... Abigail’s beau

All I had was a tiny scratch
But this hurt!
So I glanced at his name patch
On his greasy shirt

Julious, oh, Julious
He cast a dark shadow somethin furious
He got out of his truck
Started coming after me
So I ditched him in the back alley of combatibility

So...
I got a room for the night, in a small roadside motel
And the sweet hostess there, was a pretty bombshell

It was amazing to me, how close together we talked
And I was blown away, when our doey eyes locked

She wore her curly hair down, it was shiny and blonde
That went down to her buns - I instantly grew fond

I asked her out for a drink - she told me of a joint she knew
Was her folk’s place, where her brother went to

So we went out for a cocktail
Guess who brought it to us
It was her friend Abigail
And brother Julius

Her name was...

Anne-Nichole, oh, Anne-Nichole
You came to my rescue like an A-angel
Going on a double date
Where you friend and brother are
We all shared a laugh
On the final stop
On the Road to Compatibility

@Dylan Baranski. Hey Dylan I've been contributing to amiright.com for over 17 years now. I wish I could talk with the people here more, but where I live there is no signal. So I got bored overtime and started writing and recording new stuff. I try to make it as funny as I can, but there's only one Weird Al. Chuck G, whom I have never spoken with allows authors to post new music as long as it's music. I just fill out the online form with a double entry. I guess I should put NONE or Original. I've seen your name here at amiright for many years and want to thank you for all your volunteering and contributions that help keep this site going strong.
