The Lyrics

Part of my Pop Danthology 2011 self-challenge. It can be hard to strike the right mood when writing. Sometimes the drama is over-the-top, sometimes the comedy falls flat, but then you've got this dude...
My biggest issue with your story is the to-one
A mi-ite too gritty, real tri-ite and gritty
Not in a way that's still believable, it blo-ows, that's ri-ight
Faux-mature crap, does it need all this blood and go-ore?
That's ri-ight, it's shitty, a mi-ite too shitty
And the protagonist calls ev'ry girl a who-ore, not ri-ight

Don't really nee-eed that, bu-ud
It's kinda lu-udi-icrou-ous
On ev'ry page, this dude grunts a swea-ear or two
You've failed this "realism" stu-uff

Don't like your "edgy" sto-ory
Like a fanfic from an eight-year-old dou-ouche
You've got an "edgy" sto-ory
That I can't take seriously, it's true-ue
Got no real edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge
Don't like your "edgy" sto-ory
Think it needs a few more revisions, dude
Make all the "edges" true

So glib and dark, you'd think Frank Miller wrote this shi-ite
A mi-ite too gritty, that's ri-ight, too gritty
Any unique concepts inside here? Because I-I can't fi-ind (that's right, that's right)
Black leather? Shades? A war that ripped the land in twai-ain?
That's ri-ight, it's shitty, a mi-ite too shitty
Borin' as hell, can predict what these twerps'll sa-ay, so tri-ite (that's right, that's right)

She can't concea-eal her lu-ust
He wants to trai-ain a-a bu-unch
I know what they will do, are you sure that you
Want to sell this crap as is, bu-ud?

Because this "edgy" sto-ory
Is as clichéd as one can get, it's true-ue
You've got an "edgy" sto-ory
Even though this ain't the nineties now, du-ude
Got no real edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge
Don't like your "edgy" sto-ory
Needs another rough draft or maybe two
Might make it decent, dude

You tried for edgy, dude
It's way too edgy, dude

Don't like your "edgy" sto-ory
I just laughed at all the wrong parts, it's true-ue
Won't change you-our "edgy" sto-ory?
You asked for my help, I gave it to you-ou
Got no real edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge, no edge
Don't like your "edgy" sto-ory
If you insist that it's perfect, ain't true
Go tell Zack Snyder, du-ude (that dou-ouche, that dou-ouche, that dou-ouche, that douche)
I'm sure he'll love it, du-ude (it's true-ue, it's true-ue, it's true-ue, it's true)
Go pitch it to him, du-ude (go, du-ude, go, du-ude, go, du-ude, go, dude)
Take it far from here, du-ude (vamoo-oose, vamoo-oose, vamoo-oose, vamoose)

I'll take "why I can't take Warhammer seriously" for $500, Alex.
