The Lyrics

Part of my "Shine Brighter" self-challenge. Just a little song about acrophobia set to one of the most surprising hits of last year. In America, anyway. Didn't seem to do jack in Australia, I guess we were too busy actually letting Gangnam Style hit number one. Whatever. Enjoy!
Want a vacation because I'm so sick of home
I have no licence and so by plane I'll have to go
I'm kinda freaking now, I've got jelly for my feet
My pants, I'm peeing now, I knew this would get messy

I'm scared of heights, I'm acrophobic, so
Travel by plane, I just won't
Try to convince myself I can be strong
But up one step, I'm gone

I will panic, panic, panic, you know
Panic, panic, panic, oh
I'm scared of heights, I will scream if I fall
Even the gutter's too tall

Too scared to have a normal bed
Just a mattress in a big-ass hole instead
And I'm surprised I can sit on a chair without fainting
Lifts just make me pale, a little bit worse than stairs

I'm scared of heights, can't catch a plane, I won't
So could you take me there, bro?
The view from a bus scares me, kid you not
I'd faint and miss my stop

So please drive me, drive me, drive me there, bro
Take me, drive me, buddy, oh
I'm scared of heights, I'll faint in the white zone
Or is it red, I don't know

Heights, heights, heights, heights
Heights, heights, heights, heights
Heights, heights, heights, heights
Heights, heights

I'm scared of heights, but I'm so sick of home
Too clean to calm down on dope
So either drive me somewhere flat but sweet
Or pay for therapy

Acrophobic, -phobic, -phobic, quite so
Bar stools make me panic, whoa
I'm scared of heights, please help me, don't say no
I'm sick of my vertigo

No, no
Heights, heights, heights, heights
Heights, heights, heights, heights

No, no
Heights, heights, heights, heights
Heights, heights, heights, heights

Vertigo is actually a separate thing from acrophobia, but they do go hand-in-hand, I guess.
