The Lyrics

Part of my "Shine Brighter" self-challenge. Essentially this is what happens when a man who's not good with words has had enough with a friend who loves to spice up his conversations with really obscure and fancy words like "superfluous". Enjoy!
I know I'm not one to learn languages
Only really know two, "English" and "grumpy"
Don't know German at all, or Spanish or French
I cannot read hand signs except the finger, please
This ain't a slight, don't get me wrong
Might just be me cause I do not know squat
Don't really listen anyway

But I think that you are too verbose to talk to
Can't understand a thing you say
What's this "paramour", that's a word, you're sure?
I thought that band made it up
Might be me, but you are too verbose to talk to
Please dumb down what you say

I'm not a big fan of your fancy words
Words like "egregious" make my head turn
Words I cannot say, make me confused
Don't say "laconic", don't know what that means, dude
There has to be a simpler phrase

Yes, I think that you are too verbose to talk to
Your words, they have me stumped for days
My speech, you "abhor", that's a word, you're sure?
Thanks for the migraine, ol' bud
See, I think that you are too verbose to talk to
What is "ersatz", explain

What is "hubris", explain

Man, I think that you are too verbose to talk to
Though there's one thing that I must explain
May not know "implore", but I know for sure
You taught one thing to me, bud
You may have taught me the word "verbose", that is true
Don't know the rest, okay

Please dumb down what you say
"Apoplectic", explain
I was about two-thirds through the parody when I realised that complaining that someone using fancy words is annoying when using the word "verbose" while doing so was a bit contradicting, so that's why last chorus is what it is. Hooray!

Keep it up and you'll become a veritable Tyranno-thesaurus Rex! Simultaneously exemplary and edifying.

Indubitably self-deprecatory and incontrovertably lexicologically self-incriminating. But we know it's not true. Er ... is it?

Verbose is a great word and fantastic sub for this. I love this OS it's an awesome dubstep song with actual words unlike Skrillex.

Verbally abusive, needs more abuse! *beats up verbs*. But yeah, it happens, some people just need to use certain words to sound smart.

I have been on the receiving end of that parody at various times. I dont use bigger words to be pompous, I do it because I happen to know them!

(ABC) I love the title switch and there was a lot of good playful humor in here. And I'm a huge fan of the OS, so that was great too!

I really like the OS as well and this was a very funny title switch/topic. I don't see any problems with it, overall i'd say it's "scrumtrulescent"
