I rarely know anything that's current news. And if I do, it's after it's had it's rounds as the top "OMFG HAVE YOU HEARD??!!1" story.

He said "Have you heard the latest story

Taylor Swift won something, he thinks it's a crime!
He barged right onto the stage
Steals the trophy and says
"Yo, Beyonce had the best video of all time""
I asked him when it happened
He replied "Two months ago, I guess"
If it's been that long, how can it still be "news"?
It's boring too
So I said

"I find news boring
There is nothing that's exciting
Can't go 2.7 seconds without some wag telling you
Some twit and his son
(Somehow named "Falcon")
Ev'ryone thought the boy was in a balloon"
And he said "I think that I might understand

He said "Hang on, how 'bout the recession?

Isn't there ANYTHING intresting that goes on in Austrailia? American can't be the ONLY intresting place on Earth, although we do have things like Falcon, Kayne West (that douchebag) and Barack Obama. You guys had Steve Irwin, and ummmmm.... Russel Crow?

I really liked this one. There were a few pacing issues, and a few rhyming issues but other than that this was a quality parody and I feel this way about a lot of news stories as well. Awesome song choice as well.

Hee hee...your apathy is funny stuff, Conq. While I DO care about what goes on...I tend to care for a much shorter amount of time than others...(I hate it when things get drawn out!)...so I kind of agree with this...

Excellent... shows how inane current events were toward the end of 2009, and they're still crap now. Hollywood, idiotic, greedy civilians (non-celebrities), wars, politics, blah-blah-blah. Thus, I turn to The Onion and Comedy Central for my "news".

With the exceptions of some little pacing and rhyming glitches, the parody was VERY well executed, the apathy is right on the money, and this parody warrants a 4-5-5 where the mainstream news networks would warrant me switching the channel to Spike TV, History Channel, Discovery or TruTV.

Holy Crap, that original song is the worst original song I have heard since Red Ant introduced me to If, and it's actually not far off from beating that--wow Conq, I'm sorry, that was hard to listen to--the parody reads well ( I couldn't make it through the whole parody using the song, it was making me want to gouge out my ear drums) I have to say the Kanye West thing hasn't been in the 'news' here for a long time, but I agree with the sentiment, I have to slap you for making me listen to that horrific original song though
