The Lyrics

Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr arrive at the house of a newly detected mutant, each trying to sway them to their own side...
Professor X:
You've heard of the mutant species
From Cyclops to Wolverine
I long for us all to get along
With human kind, that's my dream
My psychic powers are strong, but please don't run away
My school helps mutants to be wise
And not blow buildings up ev'ryday
Listen

All us mutants
Just want to be free
Can't help that we were born with the gene, I know
That if you're good inside, you'll side with me
Won't you, won't you? Yes, yes, I'll show you
That we're not all crazy

Magneto:
Don't you listen to him
He's a backwards-thinking man
Because mutants like you and I
Are far greater than man
Humans only want to harm
All those of mutant kind
Join the Brotherhood, we won't pander
To those humans ev'ry time
Eh, Xavier?
Might resort to violence a lot
But that's what humans seem to want
So why not go that far?

Professor X:
Stop it, Erik!

Magneto:
Prove that mutants
Are better than these
Pathetic creatures who think that they're the norm
Ignore this fool and follow me

New Mutant:
It's tough to choose between you
Seems that I'm a mutant, apparently
Didn't know of that before you knocked
That would explain this tail behind me
Part of the mutant species
Should learn how to be one
But should I pick the safe and boring way?
Or you, who's on the news most days?
He's right, humans can be pricks
To mutants, I've done that myself quite a bit
So I'm just not sure what to do

Professor X, Magneto, and New Mutant:
We're all mutants, kids of the X-gene
Professor X:
We need to get along
Magneto:
We deserve to rule, quite right
New Mutant:
Will there be hope that the plot won't have gigantic ho-oles?
Professor X, Magneto, and New Mutant:
Don't be stupid

To be fair, the "gigantic plot holes" jab could be just a part of comic in general, rather than the X-Men specifically, but given how they've had approximately a bazillion titles with multiple writers who likely have their own interpretation of the premise, which side is right and what each of the gazillion mutant characters is like, I feel the jab works.

I thought this was pretty clever...it would be a trip to see Magneto and X tripping around on a Broadway stage to this tune (of course, X would actually be rolling around in his chair, I guess).

This is a great original song choice! Really love this one! The X-Men are a great cast of characters to play with too. I'm really thinking about starting up my Super Hero Album again as a Part 2 but I'm not sure which album I should cover this time...

Overall not a bad spoof...it's a very catchy OS (never saw the new Princess and the Frog movie), but like most pop culture themed parodies, I was just not familiar with the material. Not your fault, it was still nicely written. Well done.

Strong work, TCOP. You could rewrite this concept over and over with different X-men and I'd still love it. Professor and Magneto are definitely the best pairing though. Nice job!

Are you kidding? Rebecca Romijn stole the show as Mystique time and again and is ranked Number 1 female mutant of all-time. Jennifer Lawrence sucked by direct comparison. Btw, if you wanna argue Superhero parodies, I have the most with 152 covering almost everything comic and other media. And the most villains as well.
