They laugh, that's all I really want
Now I watch some dumb vid or two
I waste so much time on YouTube
So many things to do online
No content producer am I
I just look at this stuff all day
So upon my ass I'm gonna stay

Ev'ry day log on, read blogs from friends
Read webcomics til the long day ends
But ev'ry now and then, some jerkhole snipes
They say that I don't have a life

What counts as "life", I would guess
A social life is what he mea-eant
I've got Skype and forum friends
He must've meant IRL
Who let this a-hole on this blog
Spouting insults so damn old
That cavemen would tell you
"Heard that many times before, dude"

Nought inherently wrong with having friends
That you only know through forum text
Just cause we don't drink hard vodka all night
Doesn't mean we don't have a life

We know that we're all nerdy doinks
Arguing 'bout high scores in arcade points
Don't need some random frat bro
Calling us losers cause we chose
To spend all our time typing
Adding to stuff we're reblogging
To some, that might seem really lame
But to us that's just basic ev'ryday

No-one's choice is wrong, whether his friends
Are gained from blogs or sporting events
It's my philosophy about this shite
If you're alive, you have a life

But it seems like clockwork, this dumb trend
Drives newbie posters right 'round the bend
But I've heard it before in all it's types
The same schtick "You don't have a life"
I'm fine with my life
"You don't have a life"

Glad it only pops up now and then
If it was more regular, I bet
That I'd do more than post some gifs then write
About how they don't have a life

Well I mean, come on, it makes some sense
These people's goal on the internets
Seems to be calling out the nerdy guys
On how they "do not have a life"
Not much of a life
So who lacks a life?
