The Lyrics

It all started as two co-stars who met on a really horrible movie, then she went from a low key married woman to in the arms of a gambling womanizer. Their romance though was one for the tabloids not to mention the critics who knew that Affleck & J. Lo really were not going to get married, this songs tells in detail about the rise and the fall of the media crazed relationship known as "Bennifer".
July 2002, when we first heard the news
About Jennifer Lopez
And how she left Cris Judd
After being married to him for eight months

Then came the reason behind the split
As it turns out she fell in love with
The proud native of Boston
Known as Ben Affleck
After weeks of speculation
They started a romantic pitch
And talks of her third wedding

But it's just a big overhype
Between Jen & Ben
And their red hot romance
And it was the rise of Bennifer
That grabbed supermarket headlines
And in the entertainment news
Like People & US Weekly

They met on the set of a disaster film
Which was known as Gigli
And followed it up with Jersey Girl
And soon Ben bought a million dollar ring

Then came talks of the wedding
Anda purchase of a Georgia mansion
Or they wanted little Affleck kids
Not to mention cuddling up in her video
Jenny from the Block
Soon they were Hollywood's talk
And their pictures were everywhere

All it is just a big overhype
Between Jen & Ben
And their red hot romance
And it was the middle of Bennifer
That still made headlines
In the entertainment news
Like People & US Weekly

But not everyone close to them
Embraced Bennifer
Like Ben's mom and his
Longtime friend Matt Damon
Or rapper P. Diddy
And the movie critics who failed Gigli
Yes, the critics that failed their movie Gigli

Then came the day they were supposed to wed
But Ben got his way and called it off
and four days after Jen went to beaches in Miami
While Ben was roaming around in L.A.
Then two weeks later they went back to Georgia
And managed to elope before heading to the Bronx
But the damage had already been done

Cause then Ben went back to being casual
No more spending binges
And then he would not set another wedding date
Cause he wanted it to die a slow death
Instead of making things better
He weaned from J. Lo
Yeah he weaned from J. Lo

Then came the final straw
While he was in Europe
With Matt Damon and a pack of strippers
And Jen saw the photos
And ran back to Diddy for love
Which signaled the fall of Bennifer
Yeah it signaled the fall of Bennifer

And it was a big overhype
Between Jen & Ben
And their ice cold break-up
And it became the fall of Bennifer
That made people breathe a sigh of relief
That they won't be seen together
Except on screen

We saw the rise and fall
Of the relationship known as Bennifer
And now we wait for J.Lo & P. Diddy Part II
In the post-Bennifer world, will we see J. Lo & P. Diddy part II
