The Lyrics

I know, I know...everyone parodies this song. I wanted to join in too. Oh, and for those who don't know, Weird Al's version of this song "Smells Like Nirvana" is awesome and can be found on the album "Off the Deep End!" (shameless plug) So check it out...
Load up on meds
Eat some prunes
I'll see my doc
This afternoon
I'll take a nap
Or maybe two
While sitting in
The waiting room

How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - - -

Well my eyesight
Has gone blurry
With bi-focals
There's no worries
But my driving
Isn't hurried
On the freeway
I do thirty
Can't eat pretzels
Or drink soda
I'm all wrinkled
More than Yoda - YEAH!

(guitar riff)

My youth is gone
Just like my teeth
I wear dentures
As you can see
A little pain
Flares in my joints
Now I can't move
Beyond this point

How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - - -

Now I'm moanin'
And complainin'
About how the
World is changin'
Don't go crazy
Try restrainin'
Hear the stories
I'm explainin'
Things were better
Back in my day
Life was simple
Wouldn't you say? - YEAH!

(guitar riff & solo)

I'm in a home
For us old farts
This home we call
Geriatric Park
Who said these were
My golden years?
There's nothing gold
'Bout impudence

How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - So old!
How old? How old? How old? - - -

Well I don't smell
Like Teen Spirit
It's the Bengay
Help me smear it
There's my TV
I sit near it
With it turned up
I can hear it
Listen closely
Whippersnapper
I'm a frequent
Daytime napper

Cause I'm old, now
I'm so old, now
God I'm old, now
Yes, I'm old, now
Need my pills, now
Keep it down, now
What rhymes with now
Go away now
Gonna sleep nowwwwww-- (ends suddenly with snoring)

LOL, 5s. I suppose elderly may not find this funny, however that would not be me. From now on I am not submitting parodies over weekends as this and mine are drowning in a sea of parodies.

Just out of curiosity, what music did Nirvana put out in the 00s?
Scrawny Johnny - May 23, 2005 - Report this comment
None...the singer of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, killed himself in 1994, thus ending the band.

The best parody of this song I've read yet! Well, Weird Al's version is also good. But this was really good and funny! 555
