The Lyrics

Brand new original song...if you can listen to nickelback without your head exploding then it can be found easily on YouTube. Otherwise feel free to trust that I know how to pace a parody by now.
Bad week
Don't have to be a math geek
Or comprehend finance speak
To understand the Dow
Is not so good right now
Wish growth was merely stunted
Stocks are being mass-punted
The S and P five hundred
Should prob'ly drop the S
It's quite a rotten mess
And not a hole we can climb
Out of in less time
Than the loans called sub-prime
Took to help undermine
Our well-being

There's no money where people believed it was
They utilized math that seems chock-full of fuzz
Summer is done it's a painful Fall
Economy tsunami the huge feel small
And no one at all thinks they deserve the blame
So everyone calls somebody else's name
They're screaming for help in Manhattan, downtown
Economy tsunami try not to drown

Panic
Could make any investing man sick
Think of what hit the fan, ick
The problem's gonna spray
So hard to get away
Now that it's so hard to lend
It's harder to spend
And so many depend
On where Americans send
Their real money

There's no money where people believed it was
They utilized math that seems chock-full of fuzz
Summer is done it's a painful Fall
Economy tsunami the huge feel small
And no one at all thinks they deserve the blame
So everyone calls somebody else's name
They're screaming for help in Manhattan, downtown
Economy tsunami try not to drown

You can't rip up
Bad loans like they are a
Card you used too much
Bailout billions are
A useless crutch
Because we haven't got
A leg we can stand on
Everyone has been conned

There's no money where people believed it was
They utilized math that seems chock-full of fuzz
Summer is done it's a painful Fall
Economy tsunami is here
And no one at all thinks they deserve the blame
So everyone calls somebody else's name
They're screaming for help in Manhattan, downtown
Economy tsunami try not to drown
And no one at all thinks they deserve the blame
So everyone calls somebody else's name
They're screaming for help in Manhattan, downtown
Economy tsunami try not to drown

Not what I've learnt to expect from you, 'cept maybe the NY angle, interresting choise of TOS too, a nickel back is probably what you get for bank shares soon enough. Take these 5s, but do it quickly before their value is lowered...

I'm curious what you learned to expect from me - I didn't know that I was particularly predictable with my writing. I just found out about and listened to the song yesterday morning (and now it's stuck in my head) and I think the idea clicked on the first or maybe 2nd listen. I know I usually vary choruses, but I kept them the same for a combination of the fact that choruses are actually meant for repeating and I wanted to get to sleep at a somewhat reasonable hour with the parody finished.

Is Nickelbackaphobia more prevalent than I thought it was?
