The Lyrics

Whenever a new film comes out or breaking news...well, breaks, it seems that the nerd hivemind always makes the same observation - and proceed to slather said observation all across the interwebs. This can be kinda annoying...
Comments online, read a few
And they're all pretty la-ame
Mickey Mouse as Cyclops?
Shock on my fa-a-ace
When Disney outright bought Marvel
Mashup a-art had rei-eigned
My eyebro-ow's raised, the same joke agai-ain

There's no real way of knowin'
When someone onli-ine
Has made the same ref'rence as you
Not all o-of the ti-i-ime (ah-ah-ah)
But to folks like me who read them
It's an unendin' pi-ile (they're so lame)
Of jokes so-o lame, the same joke agai-ain

Ev'ry time news comes ou-out
The internet screams lou-oud
Keep r-r-readin' "Guess Leia's a Disney Princess no-ow"
Originality-y
There's none that I can see-ee
Ev'ryone and their mother has to join the pa-arty-y
So hard to tune them out
Stuck in a comment hell
"Star Wars filled with lens flares" Ooh-whoah-ooh-oh-ooh
Stuck in thi-is phase, the same joke agai-ain

Sometimes I'm just left reelin'
Fro-om the ti-imes
These "jokes" get emailed straight to me
Six mo-onths behi-i-ind (ah-ah-ah)
From non-avid tweeters
And I just roll my eye-eyes (hurts my brain)
I can't e-evade the same joke agai-ain

Can't get mad that they've fou-ound
A gif or vid with sou-ound
It m-m-may not be the kinda thing they think abou-out
But why send it to me-e?
Should know I always rea-ead
Ev'rythin' related to ev'ry smash hit mo-ovie-ie
Online the whole year round
Nothin' gets by me, hell
I post my own gif-sets, ooh-whoah-ooh-oh-ooh
It's still a-a pain, the same joke agai-ain

And you say "Why don't you choose
To not read what they sa-ay?"

It's not that easy no-ow
The whole web goes to to-own
With p-p-postin' memes and theories ev'rywhere they're rou-ound
Not just my Twitter fee-eed
Or Tumblr dash, you see-ee
It's ev'ry single forum, fan-art host and wi-iki-i
And there's spoilers abound
"Why not just log off?" Hell
I'll get calls from my friends, ooh-whoah-ooh-oh-ooh
I can't e-evade the same jokes agai-ain
Oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh-ooh
Unendi-in' waves, the same jokes agai-ain

That joke was so lame, a 3 out of 10, and I'm gonna whinge about it when I read it again.

Not bad but I could swear that I heard these jokes before, lol. Good original complaints here.

Well done, can't say I've seen a song like that before yet!

Basically describing Adam Sandler movies ;)

The satirical point didn't really make sense to me until the 2nd verse. I did read the intro, but still, I was expecting more Star Wars related humor than a general rant.

Overall, not bad..but there weren't a lot of laugh out loud moments for me.

I really liked the idea of poking fun at this "I'm the only one who's thought of this" way of thinking. People think their so original, but is as writers have come to learn that if you've had an idea, odds are someone else has too. Being conscious of who's said what before you is so important in comedy. I liked you analysis of it. Hilarious? No. But very enjoyable.
