The Lyrics

DKTOS? Click here to start a not so great MIDI, here for lyrics. I took a bit of a different approach here, though this is still a 'review'. Sweet Amber is actually a good song so I didn't slam it. *Tined: forked, skewered. **S&M: Symphony and Metallica.
[1:10 intro]

A good track speak no words unkind
Getting better blows my mind
Didn't think a good song I'd find
Nothing slack it won't get tined*

Oooh... I still dig this band...
I might like this for a while

Oooh... I still dig this band...
I might like this for a while,

Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should
Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should
Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should
Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should,

Mmmm... sweet music...
How sweet it moves
Now sweep and forget
How sweet it moves
Now sweep and forget

Amber's catchy, kinda slick
She wins me over, subtle licks
The lyrics sexy, "deals in pain"
It sounds to me, like some S&M**

Oooh... I still dig this band...
I might like this for a while

Ooh yeah,
And I am excited
I might like this for a while,

Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should
Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should
Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should
Proving they're still good
Soundin' like rock should,

Mmmm... sweet music...
How sweet it moves
Now sweep and forget
How sweet it moves
Now sweep and forget

[break]

Like moths to flame, I can't explain,
Just how this song affects my brain
Like moths to flame, I can't explain,
How Amber's sound it calls my name,

Oooh... sweet music..
(Ooh sweet Amber)

[break]

Mmmm..... sweet music.....
How sweet it moves
Ooh, now sweep and forget
How sweet it moves
Ooh, now sweep and forget

It's never as bad as it seems!

I suppose I'll have to listen to the real OS to get a better feel for the song. 555

Jack, I really liked the parody. This phrase spoke volumes:

"Like moths to flame, I can't explain, Just how this song affects my brain Like moths to flame, I can't explain, How Amber's sound it calls my name"

5's : )

Thanks Rick and Pat. Tomorrow I release my parody of "The Unnamed Feeling" which is by far the best song on this CD.

Whoo-hoo! This song must have been a happy break for you. If the 'St. Anger' album is a desert (and I love analogies) then 'Sweet Amber' to you must have been an oasis (whereas 'Dirty Window' was merely a fata morgana). And it's an oasis that appears to give you more than enough satisfaction: I'm referring to the 'Amber's catchy, kinda slick' verse. Subtle licks? Good thing you've explained that by S&M you mean the album. ;-) I hope you changed your underwear immediately after listening (just kidding). I'd say this is a fine tribute. 5s.

Thanks Peter (?) and YAD. Actually, S&M is a real name for a Metallica album. This OS while still using the copy/paste format was good I think because Metallica didn't make it into a 7 or 8 minute long song and for some other reason(s) of which I'm still unaware.

Dude, I knew about S&M. That's like telling me Spider-Man is Peter Parker. :-)
