Here in the Shenango Valley
I'm still dancing with the stars
On the Penn State Shenango campus
They're putting my balloons in jars
My graduation night will give them the blues
There's nothing much going wrong
It takes the likes of me to hit the turbo key
And write an upbeat high-speed song

I'm graduating with my degree.
Hey, welcome to the rest of your life!
Farewell to books, farewell to tests
But I, I get to keep my strife!
And don't forget my other classmates
Who are also heading out
We all may agree on one big thing
We got a, a lot to think about

There's the college degree, to me it just seems
That it's a great way to go out
Career, marriage and having kids
We got a, a lot to think about

Now we're receiving a whole lot of money
And receiving balloons and flowers
Repeat after me, it's so easy to see
We all now hold all the powers
And the football team is doing so well
While Rip Engle still ain't around
And all the graduates seem to be true Penn Staters
from Sharon to Warrentown

With the college degree, to me it just seems
That's a great way to go out

Gift me five hundred dollars cash
That great big night
Can bring tears to your eyes
Diploma frame? Of course I'll have one!

Now the college years are over
And we can start the next phase of our lives
Eventually, we will meet up again
At one of our favorite dives
Being a Penn Stater is so wonderful
You won't even need a buggy whip
Let's hope Corbett don't let the school's future blow
And secure Penn State's bright future ship
