Wow, this is great. I know what this is like; people don't seem to have a concept for privacy or quietness or things like that. It's times like these when I feel underslept. 5,5,5.
I remember my noisey college days well . . . Fortunately my mother did the vaccuming while we napped, so I learned to sleep through an earthquake!
