The Lyrics
A parody of Am I Right's favorite song about Herr Arndt's favorite subject: Edelweiss - name for the Kampfgrschweder 51 which was a division of the Luftwaffe known as Edelweiss. Hundred and First Airborne - American army paratroopers who parachuted into France on D day and overran Berchtesgaden. My uncle was one of them. Marlene Dietrich - German born entertainer who sided with the allies.

Interesting comments, but the Edelweiss was more popularly known in WW2 as the symbol for German Mountain Troops and of course in 1940 up until Crete the Germans made good use of their paras taught by Kurt Student over France and the Low Countries. Later, they made impressive ground forces that fought in N Africa, Italy (Cassino), and Greece, among other places. The SS used paras in June 1944 to seize Marshall Tito but he escaped!
Nice ww II era parody
KG 51 was not "a division of the LW"- you need to improve your definition, but simply a Bomber Unit (lit. Battle Wing 51) that used the Edelweiss symbol. It flew in many places, but ended-up being broken up, some converting to the Me-410 heavy fighter and others to Fw-190s and Me-262s for Defense of the Reich missions...

2E... NP, was at a medical facility yesterday so this is the first day sine 3/31 that I did not post any parodies!!! Came home too sick to. Nice parody- gave you 555!!!
