That crazy girl named Lenny Quites is back after a long hiatus with this parody. It's about a student protest in Minnesota against the suspension of Carrie Rethlefsen. She came to school wearing a pin that read "I (heart) my vagina" wearing it in the name of women's rights. In protest the girls wore shirts that matched the pin and the guys wore shirts reading "I support your vagina". I thought what they did was great so I wrote this.

LMFAO!!! As the "other girl" suspended that day for wearing my vagina shirt...thanks! I love it! I wish I would ahve seen this sooner. I was speaker at our graduation 2 weeks ago and this would have been hilarious to mention in my humor based speech!! Thanks again, this is a funny spin on a great song!

I think it's really sad that this is as publicized as it is. I am embarrassed to say that I went to this school. The only reason Carrie did this was to get attention. When the school offered to let her have a table at lunch talking about women's rights, or when the school said she could start an after school group, or when they said they would even try to organize a class... she said no! All she wanted was attention. She was upset that she couldn't wear a pin, so she took it to the extreme. It's actually really sad.

I was not doing this for attention. The table offered only would allow women's health information, without the word vagina. I found that obsurd and would not put out women's health information without talking about vagina's which are a part of women's health. I also believe that silence of a word can only lead to more sexual violence. I do not believe that vagina is a dirty word, and I stand by what I did as the right choice.

From a pure parodist viewpoint I'd say this could use more variations to the chorus, and that it has a little bit too much of the original left. But on the other hand, even though I don't know anything about the happening in question, I do know that a topic parody for such use and in that context will benefit from hammering in the message/chorus like that and alos from keeping about this much of the original. It's a tradeoff depending on what type of audience your going for, and judging from the names of your schoolmates etc in these here comments I'd say you made just the perfect choice. It's very good and very promising, I'm looking forward to reading more of your stuff and I won't mind if it's topic on a wider scale.
