The Lyrics

This one has been recorded at badave.com. The sequel to That's My Cooking? Not quite as this one is more about laziness than actual cooking. . .
Thought I could make it fast
I'll skip a step and eat at last
Won't be long 'til my hunger ends

Light the oven, smell the gas
My bad cooking is in the past
I can't wait, I need food my friend

My food looks plain again
Tasting quite bizarre
Can't read the instructions
I guess that's just too hard

As I eat chicken breasts
Just one bite and then it's tossed
Shake it up, or it will taste bland

Now I can eat at last
'Cause Pizza Hut can get here fast
Call them up, so my guy can mend

I still can't comprehend
Why the heck we should grease pans
Skipping steps don't work out as planned

Losing my butt again
Should have read the jar
Threw the crumbs in the pan
and now it looks like tar

Not tryna be stressed out
Shake N' Bake, it's shake I crossed
Baked it up, smelt like my rear end

Got something cooked at last
Spaghetti O's taste great half @$$ed
Dammit man, left the dang spoon in

Microwaves aren't meant to last
Just look, the flames are spreading fast
Messed it up, order out again

Shake it up, or it Will Taste Bland

Shake it up, or it Will Taste Bland

Like your rear end is the way good cheese smells. Love the music.

Sir, sounds like your kitchen could use the touch of a ~French Maid~ ?!? PS: Sir, skipping steps . . . could be lethal.

One thing I'd like considered for this one. . . The words "So My Guy Can Mend" is supposed to read "So My Gut Can Mend"

I still cracked up at "Baked It Up, smelt like my rear end"... A lot like "That's My Cooking" without the whole 1950's ballad aspect, there were a ton of great lines here.

(ABC4S) The food may be bland but this is a tasty parody. I echo the humor felt by the other commenters on the "rear end" part. I was going to get something to eat just before reading this but now for some strange reason I have lost my appetite. Your typo on "gut" will not be held against you. You still get fives since it was so instantly realized that it was a typo. Spell-check would never catch that. And BAD, take LittlePopTart's advice and stay out of the kitchen. We'd hate to see you expiire and miss out on parodies that would never be written. and sung. Fine job here BAD.

Little jumpy on the ideas here, going from Shake N Bake to Pizza Hut and back, then to Spaghettios. I think it would have been better to concentrate on the Shake N Bake issues only. (never in million years would I ever have suspected myself of writing a sentence like that one...^-^) . 544

What makes this parody all the funnier is that it's not much of an exaggeration - you really are this bad at cooking, lol. I'll teach ya to cook if you show me how to embed songs to auto-play. =)

You've got a deal, except I think you may be in over your head with your end of it, you know from being here I'm a horrible cook.

(ABC) yes, that embedding of songs sure is a neat trick dave, that only you seem to have the key to - although it makes reading ahead of your singing quite difficult - nice job here - the title smacks a little of the randomness of "smells like teen spirit" which of course is a good thing - 555

(ABC4-S) Some of the lines were stressed oddly, but otherwise this was quite the tasty chunk of BAD goodness. However, the automaticly-playing-song isn't my thing - I do have a download limit here!

I enjoy the embedded track as it makes it easier to understand what you did.
As a related comment, I want to applaud the fact that your vocal level sounds right as related to the backing track. Many of the recordings I've heard here place the vocal too for "in front" of the track, rather than letting the vocal "sit in" the mix.

ABC- As usual, a very tasty parody. No blandness here. Great job, Dave.
