The Lyrics

In this installment, I reminisce about the Pete & Pete episode, "Hard Day's Pete." I could describe the episode right here, but then there'd be no need for the parody, now would there? I have been wanting to parody this song for such a long time now, and that time is now. By the way, it's Little Pete, not Big Pete, who hears the song and starts the band and everything.
(Chord sustaining from "DVD" plays into this parody)
(A 16th-note rhythm kicks in)

Pete has a radio
Mom's metal plate will help broadcast his show
It has everything
But you will not hear anybody sing

Pete walks an empty street
On this episode of Pete & Pete
Hears Polaris play
The singer smiles at him, and then Pete is hooked

And Pete is hooked, and Pete is hooked
And Pete is hooked, and Pete is...

The younger Pete is Danny Tamberelli
The older Pete is played by Mike Maronna
Pete never plays songs on his Krebstar Rad-yo
'Til then Pete's music-less

ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aah-ah
ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah

Pete heard it only once
Favorite song he never hears again
Finds their guitar pick
It's the only proof the song exists

Pete forgets the song
Then buys a Strat and it won't be too long
Then he forms a band
His teacher and his friends and some meter dude

The Blowholes band, The Blowholes band
The Blowholes band, The Blowholes

The bass guitar is played by Pete's math teacher
The drummer's name is Clem or Flem or something
The lead guitarist is some meter reader
And Pete plays all the riffs

ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aah-ah
ah-ah, ah-ah Pete plays the riffs, Pete plays the...

(Guitar solo)

Dad cannot pay the bills
He can't pay the electricity
So Pete has a plan
He starts a request line and they play your...

The Blowholes will play your song for just five dollars
If they don't know it, then they'll pay you five bucks
Pete leaves the "stage" so he can play his own song
The first chord struck was E

(Very epic outro)

545, well wrote, but I've never seen Pete & Pete(don't have cable), so I don't get the references. Still very good though. =)
