The Lyrics

Bummer I've come to rest
The innocent can kiss my ass
wake me up when the party ends

like my peers come to pass
twenty beers has gone so fast
wake me up when the party ends

here comes the pain again
falling from my mouth
drenched in my puke again
forgetting who we are

as my memory rests
but never forgets what it cost
wake me up when the party ends

Bummer I've come to rest
The innocent can kiss my ass
wake me up when the party ends

bring out those Blue's again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when the party ends

here comes the pain again
falling from my mouth
drenched in my puke again
forgetting who we are

as my memory rests
but never forgets what it cost
wake me up when the part ends

Bummer I've come to rest
The innocent can kiss my ass
wake me up when september ends

like my peers come to pass
twenty beers has gone so fast
wake me up when the party ends
wake me up when the party ends
wake me up when the party ends
wake me up when the party ends

It's Green Day, not Greenday. The band name is two words.

555, funny in a slightly gross way.

Not bad, Ben...I would've liked to see more variation in the repeat verses, but that's just my opinion. 544

I think that Mr critic has a point. Good parody

I liked it a lot. The pain of puke coming through your mouth is one I know too well... those stomach fluids almost dissolve your teeth! The whole Green Day/Greenday thing is a problem I encountered earlier on Amiright, but it now seems that if you post anything with 'Greenday' under 'artist' it ends up on the Green Day page. Months ago, I couldn't access Green Day's misheard lyrics, because someone else had posted a misheard lyric with 'Greenday' as artist, and the page would only show that one. But that problem has been fixed.

But our band name is two words, like Mr. Critic said. If you're looking for one of our albums or singles, then sure enough you'll see our name listed as two words. You can even look on the right sidebar, which shows some of our work. It's what we've always recorded under.

Enough of that. I think this is a fantastic parody of our song. I like it.

I thought it was a good parody. Also, you put wake me up when september ends as one of your lines. Maybe on accident or on purpose. I dunno.
