The Lyrics

This will be my 100th parody posted on this site. Great thanks to everyone on Am I Right, who has helped me along the way with advice, votes and comments. Everyone who has inspired, encouraged, laughed with (and at), exasperated, entertained, confused, enlightened, angered, motivated and tolerated me. It all works together to help me learn new things and make me a better writer. And of course, thanks to the main man Chucky G., who makes it all possible for everyone. Looking forward to the next one hundred here and everything else in between.

This parody is an overview of some of my first 99 parodies. The song numbers referred to are the order they appear in my author list. I've included links to each one mentioned in the bottom comments. Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I've enjoyed writing them all for you.

Song fifteen here: writer’s moment (1)
Fought in between ten and twenty (2)
And I'm just screaming
Counting the ways to win a war
Song twenty-two: had no comments (3)
Then real deal: fight; the endeavor (4)
And clear the ire
Trying to mend, patch some scars

Unseen, swear the time just flew
Rhymes to try and rhymes to choose
Fifteen is; fair clever, but wish: better than this
But I fin’lly got a hundred here, I did

Song thirty-three: was "So Stupid" (5)
Thrills of man, but then see the next play:
A chick on the way, hey
Was manly; re-assigned (6)
Song forty-five: Vegas junkie (7)
The stakes are high
And I’m gettin' into some fine bliss
Aces and beers ease my strife

Routines, where’d the time go to?
Rhymes to write and try to lose myself
Begin the morphing; carve
This scene: Am I Right, thank you!
This scene is, it's ever the dish, I reminisce
And I fin’lly got a hundred here, I did

Fast the rhymes go by
Blackjack game will die (8)
Another Big Se-ven try (9)
Sixty-seven: was fun (10)
The stairs are climbing high (11)
Then Chikin’s gone... (12)

Song ninety-nine: lampoons dead went (13)
I cry for loss; a writer's la-ment
And I’m still learning
Counting the ways to spoof bizarre

Fifteen; I see twenty-two
Twenty-two: I guess it blew
Thirty-three: bulls had their day
Every day, learn new way
From you-ooo-oo-oo-ooo-oou
And you-ooo-oo-oo-ooo-oou
Oh you-ooo-oo-oo-ooo-oo-oo-oo-ooou (14)

This scene, it’s still prime, it’s true
Writing wry and rhyming views
Hey, this scene, I’ve never seen wit better than this (15)
And you’ll help me write a hundred more, you will

Very good! You have written a good look back on your first hundred parodies, and it's great you've made it this far. I look forward to a hundred more! BTW, at the time of the infamous feud with Silver Power, I had a feeling you would either get banned or give up, but I'm glad you've made up and have turned out to be a great writer, up there with John Barry, AFW, Alvin, Guy and Tommy Turtle (as well as me).

Congrats on The Big 1-0-0, blackjack! Seems like yesterday you were a newcomer to this site! Ditto on Andria's comment! Perfect OS to choose for this tribute! I've enjoyed most of your parodies, especially those gambling and blackjack related ones! 100 here for 555's!

BJ21, thy illustrious name shall hereafter be Centurion Parodicum Maximus! (well, at least until you hit a thousand!) Good on you!

All Hail, King Parodus! Creating paradise from pairs of dice, paradox, or pair of dachshunds... A paragon of the paranormal (and occasionally paripatetic, perhaps...) Congratulations!!! :D

Andria: OMG, nowhere near the caliber of those you mentioned! But thank you, I am very flattered and have a long way to go to reach those heights. :-)

Christie: Thank you, I was a newcomer about 172 days ago. ;-)

TJC: I know you are, what am I? Thanks for the illustrious title!

Fiddlegirl: Wow, thanks for making me King of all the P-stuff! Oh, and I have a great sub for peripatetic, but I'm not gonna walk all the way over there to give it to you. ;-P

Andy: Thanks, good to see you commenting.
