The Lyrics

Bourbon and whiskey, tequila and gin
Fifty-seven beers I've drank
Groaning and dizzy, my head in a spin
Get me to a doctor
(Gonna chunder)

Don't get too close to me, that isn't wise
I'm about to lose my lunch (to lose my lunch)
Now bright spots are flashing in front of my eyes
Just wish I'd never grabbed that bottle

I'm heaving again

I'm gonna chunder (gonna chunder)
Going to spew (going to spew)
Unloading my breakfast (here comes my breakfast)
And both my lungs too
I'm gonna chunder

Mixing and stirring Kahlua and rum
(But I don't know what's safe and what's not)
But I don't know what's safe and what's not
Always believe I can drink anything
You'd think I'd know my limit by now

I'm heaving again

I'm gonna chunder (gonna chunder)
Going to spew (going to spew)
Unloading my breakfast (here comes my breakfast)
And both my lungs too
I'm...

But try not to scream
Scream at me when the morning comes
I'll be hungover again
But still I drink
It makes me wanna chunder

I'm heaving again

I'm gonna chunder (gonna chunder)
Going to spew (going to spew)
Please bring the Berocca (where's the Berocca)
The stomach pump too
I'm gonna chunder (gonna chunder)
Gonna chunder (going to spew)
I'm gonna chunder

Beer does flow and men chunder. ... chunder verb 1. to vomit. --noun 2. the act of vomiting. 3. the substance vomited. [probably rhyming slang Chunder Loo spew, from the advertising character drawn by Norman Lindsay, Australian artist] (from the Macquarie Dictionary) Though it may be likely that this word actually stems from the shortened use of "watch out under". As they spewed over the side of the boats of the first fleet that delievered the convicts to the shores of this land. Well, ships do lurch about and create seasickness. I find this hard to believe unless someone else sang that phrase out. Ever tried telling somoeone to get out of the way before you chunder? Though it is also likely that there were quite enough people on those overcrowded ships to perform the task of informing those under, that the impending stream of diced carrrots was on its way over the edge. They would also have to be watching for the telltale signs. If anything this may have been the word created from shortening the above phrase from a slightly different perspective. That of the hapless convicts taking turns for fresh air at the porthole. The sailors themselves may have felt for those below and warned them whenever one of the officers was about to "chuck his lunch" overboard. However I can find no evidence that this is correct. this may well have been becaus ethe convicts may well have kept such things to themselves as their own language. Many people were isolated from each other in Australia's early years. There was little or no formal education at first and each property/farm would have had its own language idiosyncracies. The term gerzunder means chamberpot but this bears no relation to the pot itself or its name. It is actually a shortened version of "goes under the bed"
