The Lyrics

I am a math geek and a math major, which is why I thought I had to do a parody about it. Many of the things I say won't make much sense, however, to others who know math well. I just filled in some gaps just make the rhyming easier. Enjoy!
"Look. If you took one class
On applied mathematics
That was challenging in every aspect,
you knew it,
Would you endure it,
Or just try to skip?"

Yo
His book is open, sees greek, mind is gropin'.
There's function's on the pages he's scopin'. Line is slopin'.
It's 2-D, but now he's moody cause his mind was hopin'
to not plot, but he must keep on copin'
with his math class. He must pass, will he last?
And when this is through, he will have more to pass.
He's solving, pal. It is quite involving, how.
He's bawling now. Class is over, WOW!

Flash back to geometry. No trigonometry.
Show there's no symmetry. Oh, there is in the 'z'.
Know how to bound it below, and make sure that the
slope does not equal zero, but it better be close.
He knows that but he won't have much ease when he shows
That 'f' is a polynomial function, it's
hard to plot. He does not know how to graph it.
He better go find the intercept and hope it's no fraction
You're gonna...

Lose yourself in the subject,
the science, defiance.
You better find the rate of flow.
I only see one point disjoint. All the rest will go
onto the linear plane for simple graphing, yo!
You're gonna...

Lose yourself in the subject,
the science, defiance.
You better find the rate of flow.
I only see one point disjoint. All the rest will go
onto the linear plane for simple graphing, yo!

I now equated. It was so complicated.
But shouldn't 'f' be integrated?
Take the root of the potential exponential.
The normal line's tangential.
But simplifying's now quite essential.
And so I must obtain one common factor.
You know I'm no Einstein, I'm no math attacker.
With computers, I'm known as the code cracker.
Ones and o's, all that is shown,
such ease for me to be a programmer.
Worse in math than any mute with their grammar.
And for a test, there's no rest, I'm a crammer.
I read every section I see, its no gander.
I tried each problem there was because
it does some people wonders.
But as one can plainly see, as for me,
I just make silly blunders
Cause the test key says "D D A D B C C A"
You're gonna...

Lose yourself when you aim for
division precision.
Your estimation will be low.
And when you add alot, do not miss a single toe.
Cause every digit you have can make a difference, yo.
You're gonna...

Lose yourself when you aim for
division precision.
Your estimation will be low.
And when you add alot, do not miss a single toe.
Cause every digit you have can make a difference, yo.

How can you not compute the largest root?
My own calculation's precisethere's no dispute.
You are saying you are the teacher. Don't give a hoot.
You were wrong once and can't teach and need the boot.

But I kept adding and subtracting every number.
Now my mind's growing while you just get dumber.
There's a train moving west from the state of
Virginia to Utah at the pace of
Forty-five miles per hour with a tank of
Nitrogen with a mass of thirty tons
It's all the rough data.
I can solve using alpha, pi and beta.

This is the truth cuz no matter how smart,
I will always be the smarter.
When debating which problem to do,
I'll do the harder.
And I'll always use the yard or foot to get me farther
When I measure whether distance between two lines
Is any better. If they are not,
Then a right angle I got
And then I'll find the angles with a theorem that I
Was taught
By another big-shot.
I don't always forget a lot.
Knowledge will lead me to mathematic glorypride will not.
In a contest, I would triumph over you all.
Please don't say that's all the brains you got.
Because if that's all you brought, it's time you rot.
I can't believe this all started over a stupid plot.
You're gonna

Lose yourself in the complex
Equation invasion.
You better not lose what you know.
Just maybe then one day, I'll say you are now a pro
With mathematical wisdom that I gave you, yo.
You're gonna

Lose yourself in the complex
Equation invasion.
You better not lose what you know.
Just maybe then one day, I'll say you are now a pro
With mathematical wisdom that I gave you, yo.

"You can solve everything you've been assigned to, man."

Wow! I love this OS and you sure did it justice here Bob - lots of clever lines too - inc "Oh, there is in the 'z'" which I nabbed early - great effort - 555

Genius!!! I totally understood this song, although Algebra 1 wasn't my best subject, I still love math. This exactly is how I felt on the first day of Algebra. It gets better though.

I'm always impressed when someone does this song well. I've tried and thrown the result in the trash many times. Great one!

As Eminem afficionado of the site, I hereby sanction this parody as 'very well done'. Great use of rhyme and not too much jargon. 555
