Song Parodies -> "My Hatred Burns On"

Original Song Title:

"My Heart Will Go On"

Original Performer:

Celine Dion

Parody Song Title:

"My Hatred Burns On"

The Lyrics

This was the first parody I ever wrote, and I found it yesterday. I wrote it for My english teacher (whom I hated).Since I was in the sixth grade, she took this seriouslly and called a PTA Meeting. *So humiliating*
Every night in my dreams
I stab you
I shoot you
That is how hatred burns on
Near, far wherever you are
You are safe in my hate
And my hatred burns on and on
Once more, you hit the floor
And I know that my hatred
My hatred burns on and on
Hate can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till...
You die
Hate, oh I hate you
One true thing I cling too
In my life my hatred...burns on
You're here!
In your face I see fear
And I know that my hatred, my hatred
Burns on and on
~Why does the hate burn on~
You'll stay impaled this way
And I know that
My hatred, my hatred
Burns on and on

TOS was made in the NINETIES. It was part of the Titanic soundtrack.

Yikes! That reminds me of my ex-husband.

It's a shame this song got you into trouble with your English teacher, but turning the original sentiment upside down like this is very clever. 5-5-5.

All fives, and I feel the same way about people who loved the movie "Titanic." I saw a huge line for it about four months after it opened, and I yelled, "People, the boat sinks!" And a teenage girl said, "Really?" That really happened. It wasn't just something I put in my parody "The Longest Film." (shameless plug alert)
