The Lyrics

Baby can’t you hear
Me calling
A guy like you would spare my craving
You’re dangerous
Still falling
I can’t escape
I won’t wait
Give me a hit
Woody give me it
It’s dangerous
I’m lovin’ it!

Oh my cant calm down
I’ve lost my head
Drooling on the ground
Can you hear me now?

Give puncture to my lips
I want a ride
My toothpick I’m slipping under
Tasting the birch wood paradise
I’m addicted it’s true
Don’t you know he’s my toothpick
Hope you’re loving this too
Don’t you know he’s my toothpick

Can’t give you up
There’s not a splint
That you’re giving up
You love this too I see

Oh my cant calm down
I’ve lost my head
Drooling on the ground
Can you hear me now?

Give puncture to my lips
I want a ride
My toothpick I’m slipping under
Tasting the birch wood paradise
I’m addicted it’s true
Don’t you know he’s my toothpick
Hope you’re loving this too
Don’t you know he’s my toothpick

(repeat this lip stuff x2)

Give puncture to me now
Need your loving now
Can’t wait I need it now
Give puncture to me now
Need your loving now
Can’t wait I need it now

A parody about toothpicks Ann H? A rather surreal topic from you! I much preferred this to your 'Eccentric Avenue' parody, so 555

Once posted at badave, this will only be the second successful attempt at this difficult OS. Congratulations on coming up with a very original idea for this seriously difficult song, one of your best to date.

Does this mean what I think it means? :-) DKTOS, but 555 for clever (even though there should be an apostrophe in "can't" lol)

Thanks all I never heard the OS and don't think I'd want to unless I was to record a parody. I might do so when the stiches in my ear are healed.

Tommy: Yes. No duh. She's obviously talking about pitching some woo. Ann: I think just before "Can't give you up" (in the 2nd verse) you skipped a line. Either that or you have a fair-size pacing error.

It's obvious she's talking about pitching some woo.

Jonathan S., thanks. Didn't think I'd seen Ann go in that direction before, so wasn't sure. Very witty double-entendre.

This is my first parody in this direction. Whenever I come in contact with anything like this I get a stomachache. I guess I just value other types of love a lot more.

If you get a stomach ache, you're doing it wrong... seriously, do what you're comfortable with, in parody and in life.
Ann Hammond - August 16, 2007 - Report this comment
I was perfectly comfortable doing the parody for this. Bros is the physical attraction type of love and I don't have it. The whole point of the toothpick was to show the overratedness of such love.

That was a good one. I have to say, if I was to do a parady of one of her songs, I'd make it about how screwed up she is now! Just an idea. I can't believe I used to like her songs, now I just like to see the paradies people have to write about HER!! >=)
