The Lyrics

Well, were do I start....First of all, I've gotta confess, I think that this is the first time I've heard anything by "Blink 182". There, I said it and with that said, thought I'd learn something by them. I liked the title Apple Shampoo and downloaded the lyrics and an mp3 to help me set the mood. Parenthetical comments are not to be part of the parody - just my 'reading between the line comments'. Oh, and I left a few lines original because it may fit with my parody. Have fun ripping me to shreds.
I'm not try'n to deceive you, believe me
but sometimes the hardest part is receiving (low votes)

The good intentions that I had
now only came to this -
and although I made my mark
you all hissed

It isn't exciting reciting my stories
of changed tunes thought funny when y'all start snoring

All getting tired of my old bands
and me not knowing 'bout your new bands.
The start was something good
but these things can't just end

And like Leo, will I survive?
At home, I'm out to try again.

I may never come back -
maybe we don't match -
My candle's buring from'th wrong end."

And now I've said too much -
and you might all chuck up.
It's awkward trying to prove my groove.

I'll pretend that I'm fine -
show up with my lines
but I'm too old to be cool

I never wanted a spazz attack
I'm just trying to go on
But perhaps my chance is gone

I know / just where / I stand / a man
trapped in his own Disney land

I'll take what you're willing to give (3 votes);
and I'll teach myself new songs (if I have to, to survive (like this one))
part by part and hear what the new groups got
and learn what I have not.

Is it important
And is it required

but now I realize
I may have dissed you in this way
but I'll go on all alone
As if I had a choice, anyway

Where am I coming from?
What am I whinning for?
Is it hard to see?

And if you really care
About the things I shared
You know it doesn't mean a thing
You know it doesn't mean anything to me

You know it really doesn't mean anything to me
