Song lyrics aren't supposed to be a fountain of perfect english, but on the other hand some are just so atrocious, they need to get called out. We're not looking for sentance fragments or the word ain't since there are too many instances to count.

Katy Perry's, "Part of Me"
The Lyrics:
This is the part of me
That you're never gonna ever take away from me.
Why:
The "ever" is unnecessary since it already uses a never.

Katy Perry's, "Peacock"
The Lyrics:
Don't be a shy kinda guy, I bet it's beautiful
Why:
The kinda should be kind of guy

Katy Perry's, "The One That Got Away"
The Lyrics:
In another life, I would make you stay, so I don't have to say you were the one that got away.
Why:
People are WHOs, not THATs. It should read, "you were the one WHO got away" because she is most certainly singing about a boy, not an object. The constant repitition of this line drives me crazy!
