Real Lyrics -> Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics -> The Doors

Song lyrics aren't supposed to be a fountain of perfect english, but on the other hand some are just so atrocious, they need to get called out. We're not looking for sentance fragments or the word ain't since there are too many instances to count.

L.A. Woman album at Amazon.com
The Doors', "L.A. Woman"
The Lyrics:
If they say I don't love you
You know they are a liar
Why:
"You know they are LIARS!" Plural, my man, plural! Going for a perfect rhyme with a word like "higher" or "fire" isn't worth it when you make a HUMUNGOUS error like this.

The Doors', "Light My Fire"
The Lyrics:
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Why:
It's "If I WERE to say to you," Jim!

The Doors', "Touch Me"
The Lyrics:
Till the stars fall from the sky for you and I
Why:
It should be "until the stars fall from the sky for you and me". You'd never say "for I", would you? It makes a rhyme for "sky", but it clearly could have been better.
