Original Lyrics:
(the 'Sh!' sound whispered during the opening bass riff)
John was actually chanting "Shoot me" during the instrumental breaks. (hence the misheard "sh*t") In the final album release, it was partially covered by the bass riff, but in the earlier version released on the Anthology, it is quite clear.
