Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Stone Sour

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Like you.

And it's the stars.
The stars that shine for you.
And it's the stars.

The Story: First time I hear this song when frontman Corey Taylor mistakenly don't say "lie" and say "like". But, after I'll see this song's lyrics at MetroLyrics many times, finally Corey Taylor say "lie" instead of "like" that I hear in the final choruses of this song. Positively, I like "Through Glass" and this song is the most well-known song from a band that formed by Corey Taylor and friends although it failed to reach the Top 20 on Billboard's Pop Chart. On the other hand, Staind's "It's Been Awhile" reaching the Top 10 on that chart while the single get the "Parental Advisory" sticker because of its suggestive words on lyrics of this song and honestly I like Staind's "It's Been Awhile" in a clean radio edit instead of the original album version (although both versions ended at more than 4 minutes in length). About this song: While "Through Glass" failed to reach the Top 20 on Billboard's Pop Chart, this song still Corey Taylor and his band's best-known song to date and actually reaching #39. Making them the only time they have a Top 40 hit like "Through Glass". This song later released as the second single from their second studio album, "Come What(ever) May", released on 1 August 2006. - Submitted by: Wisnu Aji
