Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Lordi

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Lordi's, "Deadache"
The Misheard Lyrics:
The farm bathes in the thumping moonlight
It intubates my grief and madness
The Real Lyrics:
The farm bathes in the thumping moonlight
It incubates my grief and madness
The Story: What can I say, I am studying to be a Physician Assistant and spend too much time in the ER. I kind of like my version, there's something to be said for using a resuscitative procedure to resurrect your grief as opposed to simply helping it grow. - Submitted by: Mary
Lordi's, "It Snows In Hell"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Though you were Greek
I will not be forgiving.
The Real Lyrics:
Though you were quick
I will not be forgiving.
The Story: I probably heard 'Though you were Greek' because for the last five hours I've been writing an 'epic poem' for my history teacher, and everything I do, I've had Greece and other ancient civilizations on my mind. Save meeeeee! - Submitted by: Samuel
Lordi's, "The Night Of The Loving Dead"
The Misheard Lyrics:
I take you in my coffin, where you can kiss my hole
The Real Lyrics:
I take you in my coffin, where you can kiss my bones
The Story: I actually tought he were singing some kind of invective words. But I could only hear the last part. Then I looked for the lyrics and found out I was the first one to discover! - Submitted by: Rens
