Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Blind Guardian

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

A Night at the Opera album at
Blind Guardian's, "Bright Eyes"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Food, just a lot of
The Real Lyrics:
Fool just another
The Story: Okay, so maybe I was a little hungry when I heard this song for the first time. - Submitted by: SithCats
Blind Guardian's, "Bright Eyes"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Fried rice
Blinded for fear of light
The Real Lyrics:
Bright eyes
Blinded by fear of life
The Story: I was probably influenced by already hearing "just a lot of food" repeated at the start of the song (I submitted that one as well). - Submitted by: SithCats
Blind Guardian's, "Into the Storm"
The Misheard Lyrics:
We are following
The wind of worm
Through the dark cage
And into the storm
The Real Lyrics:
We are following
The will of the one
Through the dark age
And into the storm
The Story: Friends and I all love Blind Guardian, and I enthusiastically and out loud sung those lyrics instead. We laughed like crazy and also told them I was thinking of the movie Dune. Which still doesn't make sense... :P - Submitted by: Gennagh
