Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Bellamy Brothers

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

"The Bellamy Brothers - Greatest Hits, Vol. 3" album at
Bellamy Brothers', "Let Your Love Flow"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Let your love fly like a bird on the wing
And let your love bind you to all different things.
The Real Lyrics:
Let your love fly like a bird on the wing
And let your love bind you to all living things.
The Story: Funny, I always thought they were saying the word 'different'. Now that someone finally set me straight, I'm going to listen hard for the word 'living' the next time I hear this song! - Submitted by: Shari K.
Bellamy Brothers', "Let Your Love Flow"
The Misheard Lyrics:
So let that thunder take you into space.
The Real Lyrics:
So let that wonder take you into space.
The Story: I heard this on a car radio and thought it sounded just like they were saying "thunder". I was thinking, "How can thunder take anyone into space?" Then my sister's boyfriend helped me figure out what song it was. But he was unfamiliar with that line and had to look up the real lyrics. Now that we know the real words, how can wonder take anybody into space, for that matter? - Submitted by: Amber Wayland
