The Story: When the original Band Aid record came out, I was quite young. I thought that, when Boy George sung those lines, that he was either singing about himself or George Michael, who sung the next (line). The Story: It wasn't actually me that misheard this one, it was a friend of mine. Every Christmas, she used to enthusiastically sing along with the wrong words. I suppose a song about famine might have a reference to fever?!! - Submitted by: mhoraig Green

The Story: This mistake wasn't made by me, but by my supervisor at work, who'd thought the 'rice' lyric was right for nearly 20 years. It was discovered playing a Christmas tape in the office where she was singing along at the top of her voice. It made everyone stop and look at her.
