Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Ambrosia

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Ambrosia album at Amazon.com
Ambrosia's, "Biggest Part Of Me"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Well, make a pish baby
And you could also make a poo
The Real Lyrics:
Well, make a wish, baby
And I will make it come true
The Story: My friend sang these lyrics once in class and I laughed so hard I almost passed out. I've been singing it that way since. He really heard those lyrics. - Submitted by: Mitch45
Ambrosia's, "You're The Biggest Part Of Me"
The Misheard Lyrics:
I can feel the lovin' sodomy
The Real Lyrics:
I can feel the love inside of me
The Story: A cover band that I played in decided to perform this song so we all went off to learn our parts....plus backing vocals. When we started practicing the song, I noticed something 'not quite right' coming from the lead vocalist. We asked him to sing his part a capella and when he finished the offending line the rest of us exploded into helpless laughter. - Submitted by: robbie c.
