Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> 702

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

702 album at Amazon.com
702's, "Where My Girls At"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Where my Prozac?
From the front to back, I'll let you fill in that
With one hand up, can you repeat that?
Tryin' to take my medicine, I don't need that
So don't play yourself
The Real Lyrics:
Where my girls at?
From the front to back, I'll let you fill in that
With one hand up, can you repeat that?
Tryin' to take my man, see, I don't need that
So don't play yourself
The Story: I spent some time trying to find this song on Napster, until I discovered that 702 never recorded a song called 'Prozac.' However, I still think it sounds more like 'Prozac' than 'girls at'. - Submitted by: StripeyPeach
702's, "Where's My Girls At?"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Where's my Squirtle at?
The Real Lyrics:
Where's my girls at?
The Story: When I first heard this song,my nieces were really into Pokemon and I had to watch it every time I babysat them, which at the time was fairly often and so I got really sick of Pokemon Well when this song came out, I thought 'God, Please No More Pokemon!' and I wanted to kill the singer. That is, until my friend told me whst the lyrics really were and then I felt really stupid and to this day I still can't look at Squirtle ( a Pokemon) without having terrible flashbacks of my stupidity. - Submitted by: Sandi
