Shine, sweet freedom
Chance sweet freedom
Shine, sweet freedom.
Chance with freedom
Shine a light on me.
Shine, sweet freedom
Shine your light on me.
Chant sweet freedom.
Shine, sweet freedom.
Charge me Fritos
Shine, sweet freedom
Chauncey Freedom
Shine, sweet freedom
Just be free
Shine your light on me.
Shine, sweet freedom
Shine your light on me.
No Mulroney down the wrong road
No more running down the wrong road
No more running down the wrong road
Dancing to a different truck.
No more running down the wrong road
Dancing to a different drum.
Once with freedom, carry me alive.
Oh, sweet freedom, carry me along.
Shine sweet dream
Shine sweet freedom
Shout “sweet freedom”
Shine, sweet freedom
South Street freedom
Shine, sweet freedom.
Toss me, Felix
Shine, sweet freedom
Touch me free
Shine a light on me.
Shine, sweet freedom
Shine your light on me.
We'll keep our spirit alive, all day long.
We'll keep the spirit alive, on and on.
The "all day long" part of the phrase definitely sounds correct the three times it occurs in the song. However, on the third occurrence of the phrase in the song at time mark 3:06, the word "the" appears to be replaced with "our". The only place where Michael McDonald appears to pronounce the phrase differently than in the first two occurrences.
We'll keep the spirit alive, all day long.
We'll keep the spirit alive, on and on.
You want a maggot, you're right where I want to be.
You are the magic, you're right where I want to be.
