Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody.

I save my little breath for you
I say a little prayer for you
I say a little prank for you
I say a little prayer for you
I say, a little paper Jew
I say a little prayer for you
Rock on in my hair now.
While combing my hair, now
The devil will part, oh how I love you
We never will part, oh how I'll love you
We never will fart
We never will part
The lyric was actually sung in the song. All the background singers on this recording of the song sang 'we never will fart' on the third repitition of the chorus. This may have been caused by one of the singers coming in early, but it seems the akward lyric came out of all three of the singers mouths.
Before I put on my mink coat
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little prank on you
I say a little prayer for you
I'll sail away, away from you
I say a little prayer for you
I'll sing "Amazing Grace" for you
I say a little prayer for you
The devil should be without you
That's how it should be without you
The devil will part, oh how I love you
We never will part, oh how I'll love you
The morning I wake up
The moment I wake up
