Misheard Lyrics -> Song -> H -> How to Take a Fall

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. This page contains all the misheard lyrics for How to Take a Fall that have been submitted to this site and the old collection from inthe80s started in 1996. Elliott Smith's, "How to Take a Fall"
Misheard Lyrics:
It's one worse cover to cover,
P**sing in the stews.
Original Lyrics:
It's one word, cover-to-cover,
It's an endless fuse.
It really sounds a lot more like "P**sing in the stews". It's definitely not "It's an endless fuse", but I can't find the correct lyric anywhere so I'll just keep believing he had a bad experience in a restaurant once.
