Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody.
This page contains all the misheard lyrics for A Hard Day's Night that have been submitted to this site and the old collection from inthe80s started in 1996.

And I've been sleepin' like a dog.
I should be sleepin' like a log.
And I've been sleeping with a hog.
I should be sleeping like a log.
And I've been working like a doll
And I've been working like a dog
And it's murder when I hear you say
You're gonna give me everything.
And it's worth it when I hear you say
You're gonna give me everything.
And when I get home to you, I find a broken canoe.
And when I get home to you, I find the things that you do.
And when I get you a loan
And when I get you alone.
But when I come home to you
I wanna spit in your stew.
But when I get home to you
I'll find the things that you do.
But when I come home to you
I've got the dishes to do.
But when I get home to you
I'll find the things that you do.
I am as steep as a log.
I should be sleeping like a log.
I should be sleeping like I love.
I should be sleeping like a log.
I should be sleeping like a dog.
I should be sleeping like a log.
I should be sleeping like a dove.
I should be sleeping like a log.
I should be sleeping like a hog
I should be sleeping like a log
I should be sleeping like a rock
I should be sleeping like a log
I should be sleeping like a wasp
I should be sleeping like a log
I should be sleeping on the job
I should be sleeping like a log
I should be sweepin' like a dog.
I should be sleepin' like a log.
I've been peepin' like a hog.
I should be sleepin' like a log.
I've been walking like a dog.
I've been working like a dog.
So I don't p*ss and don't moan.
So why on Earth should I moan?
So I really want to eat foam.
So why on earth should I moan?
So I unearth cardamom.
So why on earth should I moan?
Cardamom is an obscure spice.
So then I mention I'm home.
So why on earth should I moan?
So when I answered the phone
So why on Earth should I moan?
So when I get tout le monde.
So why on earth should I moan?
So when I let you come home.
So why on Earth should I moan?
So while I left you the moon.
So why on earth should I moan?
So while I love to come home?
So why on earth should I moan?
So while I mention I'm home.
So why on Earth should I moan?
So why I love 'til I'm home?
So why on earth should I moan?
So why I love to come home?
So why on Earth should I moan?
So why I mention I'm home?
So why on earth should I moan?
So why on Earth should I moan?
'Cuz when I get you alone
You know I feel all gay.
So why on Earth should I moan?
'Cuz when I get you alone
You know I feel okay.
So why on earth should I roam?
So why on earth should I moan?
So, why on Earth would I roam?
So why on Earth should I moan?

That's why I love to come home
So why on Earth should I moan?
When 'A Hard Day's Night' appears in Danish songbooks, it invariably sprouts this line ( that is, the misheard one ). It might be fair to surmise that the mishearing has been comitted at a fairly early point in the song's career. Of course, it might be equally fair to suggest, that maybe it is the internationally accepted version that stems from an ancient mishearing.
When I'm wrong, everything seems to be right.
When I'm home, everything seems to be right.
