I always thought when I was 9 years old when I first heard the song in 1985, that the lyrics were "the birth of Virginia Dare". I have Autism and I was quite smart in certain restricted topics (like Geography and U.S. History) for a 9 year old when I was that age. I'm now in my mid 40s, chronologically, though I act like a 5 year old emotionally and socially in many ways.
