Story about this misheard lyric by: Carmen Nunki

I was studying the songs of Vicky Leandros, after having found her to have an impressive array of songs in various language. This one comes from the 1990s, when she was recording quite a few songs in German. When I first heard this, the opening (and oft-repeated) line came through to me as sounding very much like "Theo, we have found the clutch," even though its being the title line clued me into what she was really saying. Although "clutch" did not sound much to me like what I best understand to be the Polish pronunciation of the Polish city of Łódź (pronounced more like "woodge", as best I understand), I supposed that since she is singing in German, that could put a different twist on the sound, making it sound more like "clutch," as first I heard it in this song.
